Award winning mezzo-soprano, Chelsey C. Geeting, was most recently seen performing the role of "Dido" in LSU Opera's production of Dido and Aeneas, directed by Dugg McDonough and conducted by Michael Borowitz. Last year, Geeting entertained audiences as "Praskowia" in Lehar’s The Merry Widow, and as "Dorabella" in Cosi fan tutte, both with LSU Opera. Geeting is pursuing a Master's in Music at Louisiana State University, where she is the recipient of a full scholarship and assistantship. She is currently studying with renowned tenor, Professor Robert Grayson. Chelsey Geeting is the first recipient of the BRAVO Scholarship. A recipient of the Duckwitz Talent Scholarship, and full scholarship to the Orlando International Opera Workshop where she studied with Susan Neves, Ms. Geeting won the Harold Giffin Vocal Scholarship Competition in 2012.
A native of Maine, she earned a Bachelor of Music (with an outside field in education) as a student of Professor Jane Christeson at Stetson University in Florida in July 2013.
She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
